Inside the cottage…
There is ample space in the boot room for guests to comfortably remove their walking boots or wellies, and hang coats before stepping into the cottage.
The bright and airy open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area is oriented towards the south and east, allowing natural light to flood in, accentuating the beauty of the original quarry tiled floor. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with premium crockery and glassware for use.
A multi-fuel wood burner in the living room awaits, complete with an initial supply of logs, kindling, and firelighters for a cozy first night.
Additionally, there is a convenient separate cloakroom downstairs.
The main bedroom boasts a newly installed and fully tiled en-suite shower room, and offers serene views across the paddocks. This bedroom features a king-sized bed with a Rest Assured orthopedic mattress for a comfortable nights sleep.
The second bedroom provides charming views of the orchard and comes with a king-size bed that can be separated into two small singles (2’6”) - ideal for our younger guests.
All bed linen provided is of a luxurious 400 thread count, akin to what you'd find in quality hotels.
Plush towels are plentiful, and the fully tiled main bathroom accommodates a walk-in shower, toilet, sink, and a heated towel rail for that extra touch of comfort with warm towels.
And outside…
The cottage has a stunning south facing terrace in front of the cottage, perfectly placed to enjoy the beautiful views of gardens and paddocks.
There is also a shady lawned area adjacent to the cottage with a picnic table.
The orchard is yours to walk in, read a book and have coffee or a glass of wine.
Off road parking for two cars. If you need space for more vehicles, let us know and we will try to accommodate you!
Those important little extras…
Don’t worry about unpacking straight away after you’ve arrived! There is tea, a selection of coffee pods, milk and sugar in the cottage, together with cake or biscuits. Relax and have a cuppa on us.

Many guests now order their shopping to be delivered on the day of arrival. We are happy to put this away for you - just let us know!
We are supplied with a natural water supply from spring - drinking and cooking water is filtered
Rest and be Thankful is strictly non smoking including vaping
Children over 2 are welcome, as long as they can sleep in a small single bed. Sorry, we can’t accommodate infants
Two dogs accepted at our discretion at an additional £25.00 charge per dog. Doggy House Rules apply
